Our Long and Proud History
Our FOP John Marshall Lodge #2, was chartered in January 1952. On July
25, 1953, the Grand Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police met with members of our
Lodge, along with members of the Old Dominion Lodge #1 out of Roanoke, and
the Commodore Lodge #3 out of Norfolk.
This meeting started the groundwork for chartering the Virginia State Lodge,
Fraternal Order of Police. A few years later on August 20, 1959, the
Virginia State Auxiliary was officially chartered.
Over time the Commonwealth of Virginia became known as having one of the
largest and best organized FOP State Lodges in the nation. We are proud
of our members and all our board members who made and continue to make this
great accomplishment possible.
