JOIN THE FOP JOHN MARSHALL LODGE #2
Any full-time, sworn law enforcement officer with arrest power who is employed by a government entity is eligible to join the FOP. Those who serve the public within our Lodge area are eligible to apply for membership in our FOP John Marshall Lodge #2.
Dues are $120 annually for active Officers. For members employed by the City of Richmond your dues can be deducted directly from your payroll based on $5 per pay period. For our Retirees, dues are reduced to $60 annually.
Below we've listed some of the benefits of becoming a member of our FOP lodge. There are other benefits, such as the FOP Scholarship awards that are beneficial to qualifying dependents. Overview of FOP Benefits
- Automatic membership in the Virginia and National FOP Lodges. This membership includes a $3,500 line-of- duty/accidental death benefit.
- The FOP lobbies on behalf of its members, including representation before City Council and City Administration.
- Access to a variety of educational and training materials and conferences sponsored by the FOP.
- Subscriptions to National and State journals with timely and informative law-enforcement related articles.
- Eligibility for FOP personalized State license plates.
- Voting rights for elections and the endorsement of candidates.
- Ability to purchase various FOP merchandise including auto emblems, t-shirts, license plate frames, etc.
- FOP LEGAL DEFENSE PLAN, INC. This Plan provides legal representation in any administrative, civil, and criminal actions arising within the scope of law-enforcement employment, whether on or off duty. It is available only to FOP members.
